The Concept

A real chop bar

In Ghana, the “chop bar” is the neighbourhood gathering spot: a place for traditional home cooking and a few drinks — as iconic there as the bistro is in Paris.

KUTI is a modern tribute to it, on rue des Petites Écuries: green storefront, a wide window onto the street, honey-coloured lime-washed walls and a tiled bar wrapped around a stainless-steel kitchen. A joyful canteen by day, a cool cocktail spot by night.

Really original, the spices are well balanced and the Penja pepper makes all the difference. A bit of a wait at lunch but worth it.

The weekend Afro brunch is perfect: bissap, kola latte, generous bowls. Unbeatable value in the neighbourhood.
