The chop bar is the neighbourhood meeting point. You'll cross paths with the taxi driver, the student, the shopkeeper, the Sunday family. You sit on a bench, share a table, strike up a conversation with your neighbour.
The cooking is simple, made to order, served without fuss. The dishes of the day are chalked on a board, change with the deliveries, and are often eaten with your hands.
